New Principal Hired At Lincoln Elementary In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — District 41's Lincoln Elementary School will have a new principal once the school year comes to a close. Sarah Rodriguez, who works as assistant principal at Franklin Elementary School, will take over the role on July 1, 2019.

Rodriguez will replace Linda Schweikhofer, who is currently principal of Lincoln Elementary and has worked in District 41 for nearly two decades.

With her upcoming appointment as principal of Lincoln, Rodriguez tops off a lengthy career in the district that has seen her wearing a variety of hats. Rodriguez has taught kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade. She's also worked as a Problem-Based Learning coach and an Advanced and Enriched Curriculum Instructor.

Rodriguez earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and her masters degree in curriculum and instruction from National Louis University.
