No Injuries Reported in Sunday Bus Fire
The blaze was reported at First Student Bus Company in Batavia Sunday evening.
No one was injured in a bus fire at 1000 Swanson Drive in Batavia Sunday evening.
The fire occurred at First Student Bus Company and was reported about 7 p.m. Sunday, according to a Batavia Fire Department press release.
The engine compartment of the bus was found on fire. The vehicle appeared to have been plugged into a 110-volt outlet from inside a building for the purpose of charging or block heating, according to the news release.
The engine compartment and passenger compartment was approximately 90 percent burned out.
Damage is estimated at $35,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
