Trinity Lutheran Church of Lombard's popular Holiday Craft Show returns for its 41st year on Saturday, November 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The holiday shopping event features two buildings of crafters and vendors, along with a pet adoption event.

"Last year, for the first time in four decades, Trinity was unable to present the holiday extravaganza," shared Lori Solyom, the Trinity member who coordinates crafter participation for the event. "Obviously it was a health and safety decision, with public events limited to prevent the spread of covid."

"We are so excited to be able to return with the Holiday Craft Show this year," added Solyom. "This event kicks off the holiday season for many of us at Trinity. It reminds us that we are about to enter the annual season of giving thanks and anticipating the worldwide celebration of the birth of Christ."

Solyom explained that the Holiday Craft Show is presented by Trinity's Mary Martha Guild - the church's women's' service group, but is made possible with help from all sectors of the congregation.

"Trinity's youth perform a variety of tasks on the day of the event, individuals and families help with set up and clean up, Trinity Lutheran School's early childhood staff presents the free supervised children's activity area, church members direct parking and greet shoppers," Solyom detailed, "And we are always pleased to include church and school crafters and vendors in the fun."

While shoppers peruse the school gymnasium and halls full of purveyors of handmade, homemade or one-of-a-kind items or visit the Vendor Village and pet adoption center in the church fellowship hall, an on-site lunch is available for purchase in the Martha's Kitchen dining section and children are welcome at the Kids Korner complimentary supervised activity tables. The craft show also features a resale area, Aunt Teak's Beautiful Junque Emporium.

This is a one-stop holiday event is family friendly and proceeds from craft and vendor space rental, resale, and lunch concessions go to benefit the mission and service provided by Trinity's Mary Martha Guild throughout the year.
