Open House This Week on Glen Ellyn Aquatic Facility Referendum

Voters will soon be able to cast their ballot on a referendum for a new indoor aquatic center in Glen Ellyn.
Election day is Nov. 4 and the Glen Ellyn Park District will be hosting an open house on the referendum on Oct. 30 at the Main Street Recreation Center, 501 Hill Ave., from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The referendum asks voters for $13.5 million to build the indoor aquatic center at the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center off St. Charles Road, according to the Chicago Tribune.

If the referendum does pass, the proposed $13.5 million would replace a tax levy set to expire, keeping taxes the same, and if it does not pass, taxes would go down, the Chicago Tribune reports.
