Oregon and Mount Morris Illinois Destinations for Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates Board Trip
Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago visit Mt. Morris and Oregon, IL. and meet Black Hawk, the Indian sculpture.

The 2015-2016 Executive Board of the Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago traditionally completes their year in office by gathering together and participating in a field trip to an Illinois area known for special local art. This year's trip was to Mount Morris and Oregon, Illinois. Twenty-three Community Associates Board members gathered around the Laredo Taft statue of Black Hawk , the Indian who watches over the Rock River Valley while standing on Eagles Nest Bluff. The statue was constructed by Taft in 1911 as a homage to the American Indians who settled this area of Illinois. For membership information in the Community Associates call 630-469-5376.
