Police Ask Glen Ellyn for Help Identifying Burglary Suspect

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Police Department seeks the public's help tracking down a man who reportedly robbed two retail locations on Sunday, April 9. Both burglaries took place in the early morning hours near the intersection of Main Street and Geneva Road.
Police said the suspect broke through the glass door at Discount Liquor and Tobacco at 852 N. Main. around 4:30 a.m. The suspect then removed an unidentified amount of currency. He also shattered the glass door of an adjacent Dairy Queen, police said, but the suspect removed no items or currency from the Dairy Queen.
Police describe the suspect as a white male, around 40-years-old. At the time of the burglaries, he was wearing a black knit cap, a gray and white North Face jacket and eyeglasses sloped low on his nose.
