Police Continue to Search for Two Accused of Robbing COD Student at Gunpoint

The armed robbery occurred last week on the College of DuPage campus in Glen Ellyn.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed a College of DuPage student last week.

Police are still searching for the two suspects accused in the armed robbery that occurred in a parking lot on Fawell Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m., according to a statement from the College of DuPage.

Two males came from north of Fawell Boulevard into the Fawell D lot and displayed a handgun in order to obtain a female student’s purse and backpack, according to the statement. They fled on foot north across Fawell Boulevard.

An officer pursued the suspects but lost them in an adjacent apartment building, according to college officials. Neighboring local law enforcement, including a canine officer, assisted in a search, but no suspects were located.

The College of DuPage and other local law enforcement are investigating the robbery. As of Monday, no arrests had been made, said Joseph Moore, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, in an email.

The first suspect is described as being a black male between 16 to 20 years old and around 6-feet tall. He weighs between 220 to 250 pounds and has a distinct gap between his front teeth, according to college officials. He was observed wearing a navy blue, zip up hooded sweatshirt, with the hood over his head, a white t-shirt and light gray shorts about knee length.

The second suspect is described as being a black male between 16 to 20 years old and is about 6-feet 2-inches tall. He weighs between 220 and 250 pounds. He was observed wearing a black zip up hooded sweatshirt, with the hood over his head, and dark colored shorts. He also displayed a dark colored, semi-automatic style handgun.
