Police Search for Gun in Pond Following Brawl at Glen Ellyn Hotel
The fight broke out at an extended stay hotel Wednesday morning.

One man is in custody following a brawl at the Budgetel Hotel in Glen Ellyn Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the hotel at 677 Roosevelt Road at about 6:45 a.m. for a report of a man with a gun fighting with another man, according to a police department press release. The man fled to Panfish Park, where officers "observed him throw objects into the pond," police said. He was then taken into custody.
Police officers are now working to recover the gun, which they believe is in the pond, the Daily Herald reports.

"The dive team from the Naperville Police Department is assisting with a search of the water at Panfish Park in an attempt to recover any potential evidence," William Holmer, Assistant Chief of Police for the Glen Ellyn Police Department, said in a news release.
