Purple Wig-Wearing Man Robs Bank In Glen Ellyn: Police
The robbery took place Friday morning at Bank of America at 600 Roosevelt Rd. in Glen Ellyn.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A man wearing a purple wig and oversized women's sunglasses robbed a bank in Glen Ellyn early Friday morning. Police say the robbery took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. at a Bank of America Branch located at 600 Roosevelt Rd.
The suspect walked into the bank holding a cup of coffee and announced that a robbery was talking place. He then approached a teller and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and the offender left, fleeing eastbound from the bank.
According to a description and surveillance video, the suspect is a white male in his 40s, approximately 5'8' tall with a medium build. During the robbery, he wore light-colored plaid pants and a blue sweatshirt along with women's sunglasses, a shoulder-length purple wig and a knit cap.
