Recycle Holiday Lights At Glen Ellyn Civic Center

Ready to toss those tangled holiday lights? Recycle them at Glen Ellyn Civic Center.

The joy of holiday decorating can quickly fizzle when you find a string of holiday lights that has burnt out. Before you toss those tangled strands in the trash, consider recycling them at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center.

Starting Nov. 27, the Civic Center will accept strands of holiday lights and extension cords for recycling. Residents can drop off their old holiday lights in a specially marked container on the first floor of the Civic Center at 535 Duane St.

The holiday lights recycling program will end on Feb. 1.
