Registration Open For 2022 Freedom Four Run/Walk In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Registration is now underway for the 2022 Freedom Four Run/Walk, which will be held July 4 at Lake Ellyn Park, 645 Lenox Rd., Glen Ellyn.

The four-mile race starts at July 4 and is open to residents and nonresidents who are five years old and over. This year, participants who are 21 and older can get a free beer courtesy of Two Hound Red.

Early bird registration is available through June 26 for $27. Those who register by this date are guaranteed to get a souvenir T-shirt. After June 26, t-shirts will be available as supplies last.

The registration fee for the Freedom Four Run/Walk increases to $32, effective June 27 through July 3. Participants who register on July 4 will be charged a $40 registration fee.

If you register for the race before June 30, you can pick up your race packet at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center on June 29 and June 30. After June 30, race packets will be available for pickup at Lake Ellyn Park between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on July 4.

After the race, awards will be presented by Ethan Cepuran, a Glen Ellyn resident who earned a bronze medal in speed skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. A beer garden will be open on the deck of the Lake Ellyn Boathouse.
