Residents Displaced Following Glen Ellyn Apartment Fire

The blaze is under investigation.

Authorities are investigating a blaze that broke out Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in the 100 block of North Parkside.

Firefighters were called to the two-story complex at 11:19 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company press release. Fire crews found smoke and fire coming from the roof of the building.

The fire was confined to a unit on the second floor. One other unit also sustained damage.

All residents were evacuated and there were no reported injuries. Displaced residents were assisted by the American Red Cross.

The Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company was assisted by crews from 11 surrounding fire departments. The fire is under investigation by the DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force to determine the cause.
