Resurfacing To Occur On Illinois Prairie Path

Detours are expected to begin the week of Aug. 17 and is anticipated to take a few days.

DuPage County will soon begin improvements on the Illinois Prairie Path in Glen Ellyn. The Prairie Path’s limestone surface is being resurfaced between Hill Avenue and Montclair Avenue. The County will be using heavy equipment to transport new crushed limestone to the resurfacing corridor, which means that while crews are working, they will need to close the Path to perform the maintenance work.

The resurfacing work is expected to begin the week of August 17 and is anticipated to take only a few days. During construction, detours will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time, Prairie Path users should follow the posted signage to safely navigate via the detours.
