Road Closures For Glen Ellyn's Fourth Of July Festivities

Roads will be closed in the Central Business District and parking will be limited.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn's Fourth of July festivities are expected to cause road closures which may impact traffic throughout the day on Independence Day. In order to help reduce road congestion, city officials are encouraging those who head downtown for the parade to walk or ride bicycles when possible.

Streets in the Central Business District will close to traffic starting at 11 a.m. on July 4 to accommodate the village's Independence Day Parade. Cars will still be able to exit the area by taking Park Avenue south to Duane Street.

During this time, "No Parking" signs will be posted throughout the village's Central Business District. Parking will still be available at commuter lots downtown.
