Road Reopens Following Train, Car Collision

An area roadway was closed for a couple hours Thursday afternoon after a freight train collided with a car in unincorporated West Chicago, police said.

All lanes of traffic were closed at High Lake Road between Sunset and Main streets in unincorporated West Chicago early Thursday afternoon and had re-opened by 2:30 p.m., according to a DuPage County Sheriff’s Office press release.

No one was injured in the crash and no further details were immediately available.
