Firefighters Extinguish Blaze On Indiana Street In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton firefighters helped a family avoid tragedy by swiftly extinguishing a house fire Monday afternoon. The fire broke out in a two-story home in the 1900 block of E. Indiana Avenue, according to city officials.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the second floor of the home within minutes of arriving at the scene. The fire reportedly caused "moderate damage," a news release said.

No one was injured in the blaze and the cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental.
