Score a Custom Playhouse for Your Glen Ellyn Child

GLEN ELLYN, IL - The Lukins McCollum Team and the Glen Ellyn Junior Woman's Club are holding "Project Playhouse," where Glen Ellyn residents enter in a raffle to win one of two life-size, custom playhouses built by two of the area's premier home builders. Profits raised through the project will benefit the Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center, DuPage PADS and other local charities.

The life-size playhouses are so impressive and lovely, we wouldn't mind living in them ourselves.

The first 6' x 10' playhouse was built by Patrick J. Murphy Builders. It features a cedar shake roof, dark ash awning windows, a wood floor, and an exposed beam ceiling. Inside, you can find a loft, a desk built into the wall, and colorful striped floors.

The second 6' x 8' custom playhouse is by Oakley Home Builders. This house is fully equipped with a cedar shake roof, v-groove ceiling, exposed rafters, and windows with a flower box. There's a loft inside, as well as a table perfect for arts and crafts, and a chalkboard.

Both playhouses will be on display at the Main Street Recreation Center at 501 Hill Ave. from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1. The drawing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 1.
