Senator Nybo presents Congresswoman Biggert for gubernatorial appointment approval

Sen. Nybo presented Congresswoman Judy Biggert to a Senate committee April 30, for her appointment to the Educational Labor Relations Board.

SPRINGFIELD – State Sen. Chris Nybo (R-Elmhurst) presented former Congresswoman Judy Biggert of Hinsdale to the Senate Executive Appointments Committee on April 30, for her gubernatorial appointment to the Educational Labor Relations Board.

Biggert is an attorney and a former member of Congress, having represented the 13th District in the United States House of Representatives from 1999 to 2013. She also served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1993 to 1998.

“During her exceptional service in Springfield and in Washington, D.C., Congresswoman Biggert developed a well-earned reputation as a pragmatic and moderate voice for the western suburbs,” Nybo said at the April 30 hearing in the Capitol. “She embodied a style that many people in the suburbs want to have as their voice in government, an approach I’m trying to follow myself.”
