'Skinny Jeans Bandit' Sought In Carol Stream Bank Robbery

An FBI manhunt is now underway in the Midwest for a man dubbed the “Skinny Jeans Bandit,” named so for his preppy attire and “skinny” jeans.

The Skinny Jeans Bandit is suspected of robbing at least five banks in suburban Carol Stream, Cary and Grayslake and two more in northwest Indiana.
He and his fashionable attire are believed responsible for a spree that began in November and up until his latest conquest just a few days ago, including:

The Skinny Jeans Bandit usually presents a note demanding money and has shown a weapon in the robberies, but he doesn’t try to take over, the FBI said.
During the Valparaiso, IN robbery last month, he retrieved his note and left the bank when the teller did not produce cash, Northwest Indiana Times reported.
The serial bank robber is described as light skinned black or Hispanic male in his 20s, between 5-feet 9-inches to 6-feet tall with a smaller building, with short, cropped hair and a thin mustache. He’s well-dressed, preferring preppy clothing and skinny jeans.
FBI authorities in Chicago and Indiana are investigating the bank robberies in conjunction with local authorities.
