Smack Dessert Now Open In Lombard

LOMBARD, IL — Lombard's newest dessert shop promises to "hit different" with "bold, unforgettable desserts." Smack Dessert hosted its grand opening in early August at 1300 S. Main St., serving up donuts, ice cream, dessert skillets and other inventive sweet treats.

Smack Dessert got its start when a local husband and wife Faizan and Irma bought a dessert cart with the aim of selling miniature pancakes. According to their website, the cart was broken when they received it and they eventually pivoted into a catering service offering donuts and ice cream.

The ice cream flavors at Smack Dessert range from vanilla and mint cookie to Dubai chocolate, cereal milk, cookie butter and cake pop. Customers can order scoops, cones, milkshakes and sundaes.

Soft serve is available in french vanilla, Dole strawberry and twist flavors.

Smack Dessert boasts an array of toppings and fun options for diners to customize their sugary indulgences. Toppings and add-ons include knafeh, brownie bites, strawberry shortcake, Dubai crunch filling and Nutella drizzle.

The shop's ice cream sandwiches are their own customizable creation. You get the option to choose your ice cream, hot-pressed between your choice of cookies or donuts and adorned with your choice of drizzles and add-ons.

Smack Dessert is open Sundays and Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, they're open from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
