Son Accused Of Plotting Parents' Murder Near Glen Ellyn
Joshua Micelli is accused of offering to pay Michael Targo to murder both his parents.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — A Glen Ellyn man is in custody after his parents were injured during a brutal hammer attack that he allegedly promised to pay for. Joshua Micelli, 23, of unincorporated Glen Ellyn, has been charged with two counts of solicitation of murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the Feb. 18 attack.
Just before 3 a.m., police arrived at Micellis home in the 1 N 600 block of Park Blvd. to find Micelli's parents with "serious injuries" after Michael Targo, 18 allegedly attacked them with a hammer.
Police say they located Targo at a nearby business and that Targo and Micelli were brought to the police station for questioning.

According to police, Micelli implicated himself in a plot to have Targo murder his parents. Micelli had allegedly agreed to pay Targo after the murders were successfully completed.
Targo and Micelli are being held in DuPage County Jail without bail, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.
