Sounds On The Street Brings Live Music, Eats To Glen Ellyn

The free fest features live music from Semple and food and drinks from downtown restaurants.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — As the days get shorter and Labor Day approaches, you can't help but feel a little tug of sadness for the end of summer. Glen Ellyn plans to give summer a proper sendoff with live music and food vendors for its Sounds on the Street festival on Main Street on Aug. 31.

The fest will be headlined by Semple, a band whose lead singer made it to the top 20 finalists on ABC's 'The Voice.' Live music will kick off Sounds on the Street at 7 p.m. and Semple will take the stage at 8 p.m.

Visitors to the fest can grab eats to go at restaurants on Main Street and dine at tables that will be set up along Main Street. Shannon's Irish Pub, Maize and Mash, Blackberry Market, Sante Fe Mexican Market, and fire and wine will be serving up eats throughout the event.
