Special Grd. Bench Created by Lombard Gdn. Clb. Member for May 11

Lombard resident and garden club member, Randy LaVeau had an idea he would
like to create something special for his town and the Lilac Festival.
He owns and operates Lombard Handy Man Service. He designed and
built a unique garden bench to donate to the Lombard Chamber of
Commerce. He would like the bench to be part of the Silent Auction
at the Lilac Ball on May 11. The bench was fashioned from the head
board of a bed and the rest of the work features LaVeau's artistic
touch. When asked what his motivation was for joining the Lombard
Garden Club after living in the town for 9 years and working in the
area for 40 years, LaVeau stated, “I wanted to be part of something
in the Village that makes us truly involved in the community and to
meet other like minded residents. I also am looking forward to
sharing in the knowledge of others who love to work in the garden.”
