Suspected Robber Caught In Wheaton May Have Hit Other Banks

According to the FBI, the man arrested in Wheaton after a recent bank robbery in Lisle may be tied to robberies in Glen Ellyn and Naperville

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A man who was recently arrested after a bank robbery in Lisle may have committed other recent robberies in the suburbs. Authorities took the man into custody Friday after he allegedly robbed Lisle Savings Bank at 4720 Main Street, the FBI reported.

The suspect was apprehended in Wheaton, less than five miles from the Lisle robbery.

According to the FBI Chicago website, the man is also suspected of robbing the Fifth Third Bank at 704 Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn on December 19. He has also been tied to a PNC Bank robbery that took place in Naperville in early December, police say.
