Thief Shatters Car Window, Crawls In, Steals Purse In Glen Ellyn

The suspect shattered the front passenger window to get into the car, police say.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Police in Glen Ellyn are reminding residents to keep valuables out of sight in their cars after a man shattered the window of a vehicle, crawled inside, and stole a purse. The incident took place in the 400 block of Longfellow on April 23.

According to a police report, the victim had left their car locked with their Coach purse inside. Police say the victim returned to their car to find the front passenger window shattered and the purse gone.
