Thief Smashes Car Window, Steals Purse In Glen Ellyn: Police

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police in Glen Ellyn are investigating an incident in which a suspect or suspects shattered the window of a locked car and stole a Kate Spade purse. The burglary took place on August 15 at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center, 185 Spring Ave.

The victim told police that she had locked her car when she left it around 5:30 p.m. When the victim returned to the car at approximately 5:50 p.m., she saw that someone had smashed the window to gain entry to her car.

She told police her tan Kate Spade purse had been stolen in the burglary.
