Thief Steals Wedding Bands, Cash From Homeless Support Center
Police say the suspect(s) took diamond wedding bands and $3,000 worth of gift card from Bridge Communities in Glen Ellyn.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn police are looking for a suspect or suspects who broke into a homeless support center and stole two wedding bands, thousands of dollars worth of gift cards, and cash. Police say the incident took place at Bridge Communities, 505 Crescent Blvd., sometime between the evening of Feb. 7 and the morning of Feb. 8.
According to police, someone pried open the door to an office on the first floor of the building and stole two rolls of quarters. The victims told police that another office on the second floor had been burglarized as well. There, the suspect(s) stole $3,000 worth of "miscellaneous gift cards," two diamond wedding bands, $100 cash, and a "large bag of change," according to a police summary.
Bridge Communities is a non-profit organization that provides housing, counseling, vehicles, and other services to homeless residents in Glen Ellyn.
