Tickets on Sale Dec. 11 for “The Michael Jackson HIStory Show”

This spectacular music tribute and full-scale production honoring the King of Pop, Michael Jackson is coming to the MAC March 15.

The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) is pleased to announce the addition of “The Michael Jackson HIStory Show” to the 2024-2025 Season. The performance will take place on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. This spectacular music tribute and full-scale production honoring the King of Pop, Michael Jackson is presented by Showtime Australia, the producers of the MAC’s sold-out 2024-2025 season opener, “PROUD Tina: The Ultimate Tribute to Tina Turner.” Tickets go on sale to the public at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 11. “The Michael Jackson HIStory Show” showcases Jackson’s creative genius and unsurpassed talent with riveting live performances evoking his early days as a member of the Jackson 5, his groundbreaking theatrics in the 80s and his continued domination of Pop culture into the 21st century. Songs will include “Thriller,” “Billie Jean,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Bad,” “Beat It,” “ABC,” “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough,” “Human Nature,” “PYT,” “They Don’t Really Care About Us” and more. This event features triple-threat performer Garth Field as Jackson, backed by a live band and dancers plus authentic choreography and costumes and state-of-the-art sound, theatrical lighting and effects.

Michael Jackson (1958-2009) is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. Over his four-decade career, his contributions to music, dance and fashion made him a global figure in popular culture around the world. Jackson’s “HIStory World Tour” took place Sept. 7, 1996 through Oct. 15, 1997. It was the third and final worldwide solo concert tour by Jackson and covered Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa and North America.

McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, presents “The Michael Jackson HIStory Show” at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15. Please note: This is a tribute show and is not associated with the Estate of Michael Jackson.
