Tour of Lake Ellyn Bike Race Set For July 28
The epic annual race brings together professional and amateur cyclists and offers a family fun ride.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The annual Ray Whalen Builders Tour of Lake Ellyn is fast approaching, promising a full day of bike racing for both professionals and amateurs. The Race Around the Lake, as it's called, will kick off on Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. near the Lake Ellyn Boat House.
The Tour of Lake Ellyn serves as part of the Intelligentsia Cup, 10 days of bike racing throughout Illinois. The Lake Ellyn race will traverse hills, zip around nearly a dozen corners, and roundabouts as they make multiple laps around the picturesque lake.
In addition to the professional bike racing, Tour of Lake Ellyn will include a Family Fun Ride, two laps that loop around Lake Ellyn starting at 3:10 p.m. on race day. To take part in the Duncan Law Group Family Fun Ride, participants must bring a functioning helmet and bike.
