Tree Lighting, Holiday Walk Set For Nov. 25 in Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Downtown Glen Ellyn will be filled with holiday cheer on Nov. 25, when the village hosts its 2022 Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting. The festivities, which also include photos with Santa, will kick off at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Crescent Avenue.

Below is the schedule for the Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting:

5 p.m.: Attendees congregate around the holiday tree

6 p.m.: Santa makes his way from the downtown fire station to the holiday tree

6:30 p.m.: Tree lighting takes place

7 p.m.: Santa will pose for photos with kids at the downtown fire station until 8:30 p.m.

Starting Nov. 25, kids can also drop off their letters to Santa Claus at a mailbox that will be located at Main and Crescent. Letters will be accepted until the night of Dec. 18. After that, they will be mailed to the North Pole. Be sure to include a return address to make sure Santa knows where to send his reply!
