Villa Park Man Nabbed on Four Child Porn Counts: Police

DuPage County Sheriff deputies arrested a Villa Park man on charges that he had downloaded child ponorgraphy on the Internet.

The sheriff’s office Sexual Predator Electronic Exploitation Division unit arrested Giovannie Hernandez, 21, at his home Friday morning in the 1S200 block of Ingersoll Lane.

Henandez was charged with four counts of possession of child poronography, which is a class 2 felony, the sheriff’s office announced.

The sheriff’s office, along with the Wheaton Police Department, executed a search warrant at the Villa Park address where electronics were removed from the home. Further investigation revealed the presence and distribution of child pornography files, police said.

Hernandez is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail and is due Friday afternoon for a bond hearing at the DuPage County Courthouse.
