Village Board of Glen Ellyn Presents Glen Ellyn Historical Society with Proclamation Honoring 40th Anniversary of Historic Register Placement
Glen Ellyn Village Board issued a Proclamation honoring the Glen Ellyn Historical Society for their National Registry status.

Monday, October 27, at the Glen Ellyn Village Board meeting, President, Alex Demos announced that the Glen ellyn Historical Society was being honored with a Proclamation from the Board because of the 40th Anniversary of Stacy’s Tavern Museum’s listing on the National Register of Historic Sites. Lee Marks, who was one of the original officers and developers of restoring Stacy’s Tavern Museum described the recommendation from the state of Illinois Historic Commission that Stacy’s be considered for National recognition. In 1974 the museum received that status and was the only historic site in DuPage County to be so honored. The museum is located at Stacy’s Historical Corners, 557 Geneva Road
