Village Plans Branch And Brush Collection Aug. 13
4,000 ComEd customers in Glen Ellyn remain without power after Monday's storms.
Special Branch & Brush Collection
The Village will start a special branch & brush collection on Thursday, August 13 at 7 a.m. to address the storm damage associated with the August 10 storm. The Village’s contractor and Village Public Works crews will start at Hill Avenue and work to the northern limits of Glen Ellyn. The collection will then continue to homes south of Hill Avenue to the southern limits of Glen Ellyn. Residents should have all compliant debris in the parkway by Thursday at 7a.m., regardless of address, as there will be no second pass on any street. Please follow the branch & brush program guidelines:

Power Outages
As of this morning, ComEd is reporting just over 4,000 customers in Glen Ellyn remain without power. This storm caused significant damage across the service territory, including downed poles, broken lines and tree-related damage. ComEd expects that it will take multiple days to restore service to all of the customers affected by the storm.
At this time, ComEd reporting systems are experiencing technical difficulties, making it hard for some customers to report outages and get information. Outages can be reported by calling 1-800EDISON1 (1-800-334-7661). Spanish-speaking customers should call 1-800-95-LUCES (1-800955-8237). For outage updates, ComEd recommends that customers use the ComEd outage map. Additionally, ComEd’s mobile app, which can be downloaded here, gives customers the ability to report power outages.
