Voting Problems Lead To Extended Polling Hours In DuPage County
Some voters said the lines were so long that they were unable to vote during their lunch hours.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL --- Two polling places in DuPage County will stay open later to accommodate voters after reports of broken touch screen machines, long lines, and other difficulties. Voters have until 7:30 p.m. to cast their ballots at the DuPage County Fairgrounds and St. Matthew Church of Christ, NBC 5 reports.
Voters in DuPage County have expressed concerns over long lines, faulty machines, and other issues as Tuesday's midterm election progressed.
According to Propublica's Electionland hotline, voters at Healthtrack Sports Wellness in Glen Ellyn have reported broken machines and no availability of paper ballots. One voter told the hotline that they had been waiting for more than 30 minutes in a "huge crowd and long lines" and that other voters were there on their lunch hour and had to leave without casting a vote.
