Glen Ellyn's First Presbyterian Church serves as an interim/overnight shelter on Thursdays for DuPage Pads during the winter. The wheelchair accessible shelter is accessible via Metra and bus #715 and has a capacity of 65 persons.

First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn serves as a warming station interim/overnight shelter on Sundays for DuPage Pads. The shelter is wheelchair accessible and can be reached via Metra train.

According to DuPage County Community Resource Information System (C.R.I.S.), Glen Ellyn Public Library functions as a warming center during bitterly cold weather. The library is open to Glen Ellyn residents during normal business hours.
