West Chicago Man Charged With Stalking in Batavia, Geneva

Mark A. Boelkens is accused of staking his estranged wife after she left a movie theater Friday with a male companion.

A 46-year-old West Chicago man has been charged with two counts of stalking after police said he waited outside a Batavia movie theater for his estranged wife to leave with her male companion and then purposefully rear-ended their car, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

Mark A. Boelkens, of the 3N600 block of Locust Ave. in West Chicago, was arrested early Saturday morning following the accusations of stalking that the victim said started around 11:35 p.m. Friday when she spotted her estranged husband waiting near the Randall 15 movie theater in Batavia, the newspaper reports.

The woman called police after she said Boelkens ran his vehicle into the back of her vehicle at Fabyan Parkway and Raddant Road and made attempts to pass her and cut her off, according to the newspaper.
