Woman Charged With Neglecting Child; Bikes Stolen from Garage: Glen Ellyn Police Blotter

Here is a look at recent arrest and incident reports made by the Glen Ellyn Police Department in recent weeks:

  • Police arrested Royal J. Douglas, 24, of Elgin, at 3:13 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the 0 to 100 block of Sunset for criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing to residence.
  • Police arrested Danielle E. Carino, 26, of 2S648 Pierce Currie Lane in Warrenville, at Roosevelt and Surrey at 9:41 p.m. on Nov. 9. She was charged with speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.
  • Police arrested Eris Katsa, 29, of Chicago, at 5:31 a.m. on Nov. 11 for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
  • Police arrested Don M. Sowers, 54, of Glen Ellyn, at 8:01 a.m. on Nov. 12 in the 800 block of Saddlewood Drive. He was charged with domestic battery.
  • Police arrested David H. Smith, 56, of Chicago, at 9:27 a.m. on Nov. 12 at Roosevelt and Exmoor. He is charged with driving while license suspended, operating vehicle when registration revoked, operating uninsured motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Police arrested Maricela Aguilar-Victoria, 26, of Glen Ellyn, at 12:22 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the 0 to 100 block of Briar St. She is charged with neglect of a child.
  • Police arrested Elizabeth A. Sebby, 57, of 534 N. Grace St. in Lombard, at 12:22 p.m. on Nov. 14. She is charged with DUI, DUI Over. 08, leaving the scene of an accident improper starting or stopping of a vehicle.
  • Police arrested Tavares Carrington, 38, of Oswego, at IL 53 and the DuPage River at 2:49 p.m. on Nov. 14. He is charged with speeding and driving while license revoked.
  • Police arrested Cole S. Schmidt, of 29W254 Lester St. in West Chicago, at 8:16 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Main and Turner. He is charged with DUI, DUI over. 08, failure to signal and improper overtaking.
  • Police received a report of an unknown offender entering an unlocked garage and stealing two bicycles in the 400 block of Hawthorne at 3:42 p.m. on Nov. 9. One bicycle is described as a yellow women’s specialized mountain bike and the other is a black and red Razor 18-inch kids bicycle.
  • Police received a report of an unknown offender stealing a Comcast internet router from an office at Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc., 460 Main Street, between 9 a.m. on Nov. 10 and 3:26 p.m. on Nov. 11.
  • Police received a report at 8:44 p.m. on Nov. 13 of an unknown offender spray painting an “87” on a United States Postal Service box at Sheehan and Milton.
  • Police received a report that a black iPhone 5 was stolen from an event being held at Benjamin Franklin School, 350 Bryant, at some point between 6 and 7:05 p.m. on Nov. 14.
