Pregnant Mom Hit, Killed While Pushing Stalled Car In Streamwood

The 29-year-old Glendale Heights woman was 12 weeks pregnant when she was fatally hit by a pickup truck.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A pregnant Glendale Heights woman and mother of four was fatally hit by a car while she was pushing a stalled vehicle in Streamwood Monday evening. Aries Cobian, 29, was pushing a 1994 Oldsmobile on Lake Street when she was hit by a pickup truck, NBC reports.

According to ABC, Cobian, who has four children, ages 9, 7, 3, and six months, was 12 weeks pregnant at the time.

Police say they got to the scene near East Lake Street and South Park Avenue to respond to a report of an accident just before 8 p.m. Emergency responders rushed the Glendale Heights mom to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to NBC, it was "not clear" whether anyone has been charged in the fatal collision. The incident remains under investigation.
