Your Guide to the 2016 Taste of Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL - Food, drinks, music, carnival rides and plenty of family-friendly fun will be on hand this weekend at the Taste of Glen Ellyn, which kicks off Thursday and continues through Sunday.

Food, entertainment and the business expo will be held in a parking lot near 420 N. Main Street in downtown Glen Ellyn, between Duane and Hillside on Main Street and just south of the railroad tracks.

Here is a rundown of what is on tap for this year’s event.

Entertainment

Thursday, May 19: Country favorites

• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: WILD DAISY
• 8 to 10 p.m.: HILLBILLY ROCKSTARZ

Friday, May 20: Rock ‘n Roll favorites

• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. FINAL SAY

• 8 to 10:30 p.m. HIGH INFIDELITY

Saturday, May 21: Rock ‘n Roll favorites

• 12 to 4:45 p.m.: SCHOOL OF ROCK (Glen Ellyn's own!)
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: SORRY FOR PARTYING
• 8 to 10:30 p.m.: SEVENTH HEAVEN

Sun. May 22: Sunday is family fun day

• 12 to 4 p.m.: SCHOOL OF ROCK (Glen Ellyn's own!)
• 4 to 5 p.m.: SAM SAVAGE
• 5 to 7 p.m.: PIRATES OVER 40

Village Fair Amusements

Carnival rides will run from Wednesday through Sunday in the Crescent/Glenwood Parking Lot at Glenwood and Crescent Boulevard. The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday: 5 to 10 p.m.All Night one price wristband special $25 - $3 coupon available
• Thursday: 5 to 10 p.m.
• Friday: 5 to 10 p.m.
• Saturday: noon to 10 p.m.
• Sunday: noon to 8 p.m.

CRAFT SHOW (by Country Faire):

• SATURDAY, May 21: noon to 10 p.m. Noon - 10pm
• SUNDAY, May 22: noon to 7 p.m.

Business Expo:

• Thursday/Friday: 5 to 10 p.m.
• Saturday: Noon - 10 p.m.
• Sunday: Noon - 7 p.m.

The Y Run 5K and Super Kids Fun Run

The races will be held Saturday morning in downtown Glen Ellyn. The 5K race starts at 8 a.m. and the Super Kids Fun Run is at 9 a.m.
