YouTube Star Austin Jones Pleads Guilty To Soliciting Child Porn
Court documents say Jones, who had millions of views on YouTube, used his influence to persuade minors to send explicit videos.

BLOOMINGDALE, IL -- A Bloomingdale man who once made a name for himself as a YouTube star with millions of views has pleaded guilty to charges of child pornography. Authorities say Austin Jones, 26, enticed "several underage girls," some as young as 14, to "produce sexually explicit videos of themselves."
In a plea agreement, Jones reportedly admitted to using his celebrity while chatting with underage girls via his Facebook account to convince them to send sexually him explicit videos of themselves. Court documents show that Jones told authorities that he sometimes told the girls he had modeling opportunities or would help them get followers on social media.
In total, Jones admitted to getting minor girls to send him pornographic videos on more than 30 occasions.

Jones initially vehemently denied the allegations in 2015. Altpress reports that he took to social media to tell his fans,"Here's the truth: I NEVER asked [the minors] to do anything more than send a twerking video. Nothing EVER went beyond that."
Jones faces up to 20 years in prison. His sentencing date is set for May 3.
