2 Domestic Battery Arrests; 2 Charged With DUI: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT
An employee reported shortly before 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 that someone had stolen $1,000 worth of merchandise from a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive.

TRESPASSING
An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 that someone had been behaving strangely inside a business.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 1400 block of Estate Lane reported at 2:31 p.m. on Feb. 28 that someone had damaged a fence gate and lock for a reported loss of $500.

THEFT
A resident of the 1400 block of Estate Lane reported at 3:19 p.m. on Feb. 28 that someone had accrued more than $3,000 in unauthorized charges on their credit card.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 1300 block of Prairie Lawn Road reported at 4:41 p.m. on Feb. 28 that someone had made threats on their social media account.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported shortly before 5 p.m. on Feb. 28 that someone stole $12 worth of chocolate bars from a display.

UNWANTED PERSON
A resident in the 2500 block of Indian Ridge Drive reported at 9:25 a.m. on March 1 that someone was on the property without permission.

BATTERY
A resident in the 2200 block of Strawberry Lane reported at 4:32 p.m. on March 1 that someone bumped them in passing on the sidewalk.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported shortly before 6 p.m. on March 1 that someone sent a threat over social media.

THEFT
A student in the 1700 block of Sunset Ridge Road reported at 11:12 a.m. on March 2 that someone had stolen an iPad worth $400 from a desk.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 600 block of Woodmere Lane reported at 10:42 a.m. on March 3 that someone had opened an unauthorized credit account using their information.

TRESPASSING
A resident in the 2000 block of Harrison Street reported shortly before 6 p.m. on March 3 that someone was breaking items by a dumpster.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD
A resident in the 2000 block of Cambria Court reported at 6:15 p.m. on March 3 that someone used credit cards from a lost wallet to buy $2,000 worth of merchandise.

TRESPASSING
An employee in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 8:50 p.m. on March 3 that guests were on the property in violation of a user agreement.

An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 10:11 a.m. on March 4 that someone was in the business swearing and causing a disturbance.

TRESPASSING
A resident in the 2400 block of Dewes Street reported at 5:14 p.m. on March 4 someone was on the property without permission.

THEFT
A customer in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 6:51 p.m. on March 4 that a purse that had been inadvertently left in a shopping cart was missing whey returned for a loss of $1,200.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee in the 2000 block of Johns Drive reported at 11:16 a.m. on March 5 that they had received an unwanted package in the mail.


ARRESTS/CITATIONS

James Connors, 70, of the 1600 block of Woodland Drive in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 27 and charged with a continuing financial crimes enterprise over several 2016 thefts at a store in the 1700 block of Glenview Road.

Jon Werner, 31, of the 0-100 block of Thorndale Avenue in Medinah, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 28 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Shermer Road.

Anthony Lopez, 22, of the 100 block of Elm Street in Glenview, was arrested at 3:34 a.m. on March 1 in the block where he lives and charged with domestic battery.

Harey Israel, 59, of the 2100 block of Mallard Drive in Northbrook, was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. on March 1 and charged with harassment by telephone and harassment by electronic communication following an investigation into an incident in the 3600 block of Lawson Road.

James Bloomquist, 52, of the 2300 block of West Morse Street in Chicago, was arrested at 10:21 on March 1 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in the 2100 block of Valley Lo Lane after police got a call about a suspicious vehicle there.

Sylvester Crenshaw, 40, of the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue in Northbrook, was arrested at 9:29 a.m. on March 2 in the block where he lives and charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
