GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
On Feb. 20 at 1:16 p.m., a resident in the 2500 block of Central Road reported someone took their car without permission. The vehicle was later returned.

IDENTITY THEFT
On Feb. 20 at 6:11 p.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Highland Lane reported someone used their personal information to open several department store accounts. There is no loss.
THEFT
On Feb. 20 at 8:37 p.m., a customer in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported leaving a cellular telephone in a dressing room and upon return it was missing. The reported loss is $200.00.

TRESPASSING
On Feb. 21 at 2:20 a.m., a resident in the 3900 block of Brett Lane reported someone was on their property without permission.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 21 at 12:43 p.m., an employee in the 1900 block of Johns Drive reported someone damage a sign in front of the business. The reported loss is $200.00.
ASSAULT
On Feb. 21 at 3:29 p.m., an employee in the 4300 block of DiPaolo Center reported a co-worker threatened to beat him after an argument.
BATTERY
On Feb. 21 at 11:55 p.m., an employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a co-worker punched him in the face.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 22 at 3:31 p.m., an employee in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road reported their watch band was broken by a customer. The reported loss is $20.00.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 23 at 10:47 p.m., several mailboxes were discovered damaged during the early evening in the area of 1800 block of Wagner Road and surrounding streets. The reported loss from each incident is between $100.00 and $200.00.
DISTURBANCE
On Feb. 24 at 1:33 a.m., an employee in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported several customers broke their rental contract and were verbally offensive.
RETAIL THEFT
On Feb. 24 at 12:12 p.m., an employee in the 2200 block of Willow Road observed someone bag items without paying for them. The reported loss is $700.00.
BURGLARY
On Feb. 24 at 2:59 p.m., a patron in the 1800 block of Landwehr Road reported someone broke a window on their vehicle and stole a purse from inside. The reported loss is $315.00.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
On Feb. 24 at 11:28, a resident in the 3900 block of Joanne Drive reported someone entered their home without permission and took personal items. The amount of loss is unknown.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 25 at 9:52 a.m., a resident reported graffiti painted on a wall in the 2500 block of Happy Hollow Road. The reported loss is $300.00.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 25 at 2:51 p.m., a shopper in the 2600 block of Navy Boulevard reported someone used a sharp object to scratch the finish on their vehicle. The reported loss is $1,000.00.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Feb. 25 at 5:38 p.m., a resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported someone damaged two tires on their vehicle. The reported loss is $400.00.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
On Feb. 26 at 9:03 a.m., a resident in the 3500 block of Vantage Lane reported someone sent them unwanted text messages.
THEFT
On Feb. 26 at 10:55 a.m., an employee in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue reported someone illegally diverted an electronic business payment to an unknown bank. The reported loss is over $3,000.
UNWANTED PERSON
On Feb. 26 at 11:21 a.m., an employee in the 1900 block of Glenview Road reported someone was on the premise who did not belong there.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 23-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 9:47 a.m. on Feb. 20 and charged with speeding more than 26 mph above the limit in the 300 block of Waukegan Road.
Debra M. Wasserman, 34, of the 700 block of Mulford Street, Evanston, was arrested at 10a.m. on Feb. 20 and charged with nine counts of identity theft and three counts of forgery following an investigation into a series of crimes first reported on April 23, 2015.

Wasserman was indicted for allegedly stealing the information of customers at her former employer on the 1900 block of Lehigh Avenue and using it to open up credit accounts, file taxes and steal their identities. Skokie police also have charged her with several offenses, including residential burglary, but refused to provide any details about the incidents that led to her arrest there last September.
Peter Nelson, 31, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the 2200 block of Prairie Street and charged with burglary.
Andre Hampton, 62, of the 1100 block of Knollwood Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested 7:19 p.m. on Feb. 23 and charged with retail theft and criminal trespassing in the 100 block of Waukegan Road after reportedly stealing alcohol from a store.
Marcus Watson, 47, of the 16600 block of Knottingwood Avenue, Oak Forest, was arrested at 3:14 a.m. on Feb. 24 in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with domestic battery and interference with reporting domestic violence.
