2 Jeep Cherokee SUVs Stolen From Business Parking Lot: Blotter
The vehicles valued at $45,000 and $15,000 were stolen in separate incidents: Glenview Police Blotter.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Tsatsraltuya Purevsuren, 38, of the 10000 block of Michael Todd Terrace, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue. She posted $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Dec. 9 in Skokie.

Young Hun Kim, 41, of the 3800 block of Appian Way, Glenview, is accused of no valid driver's license, driving without lights when required, and was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Nov. 10 in the 4100 block of Central Road. He posted a $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Dec. 22 in Skokie.
WARRANT ARREST
- Gary Bodie, 29, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, is accused of having a warrant out of Georgia for a probation violation, and was arrested at 3:22 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 2300 block of Lehigh Avenue. He was transferred to the Skokie Courthouse for a bond hearing.
- Alexana Martinez, 21, of the 2900 block of Mason Avenue, Chicago, is accused of having a warrant for failure to appear, and was arrested at 4 a.m. Nov. 16 at the Glenview Police Department, 2500 East Lake Avenue. He was transferred to the Skokie Courthouse for a bond hearing.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Lehigh Avenue reported at 6:03 p.m. Nov. 10 that they discovered garbage cans knocked over and a sign broken inside the business. The total reported loss is $100.
- A resident in the 1400 block of Lehigh Avenue called police at 6:38 p.m. Nov. 10 to report hearing a crashing noise coming from the patio. They saw a pane of glass had shattered on the sliding door. Total reported is $400.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 10:14 a.m. Nov. 10 a retail theft which occurred between 11:40 a.m. and 3:21 p.m. Nov. 5. A female was seen placing numerous pieces of merchandise into a purse and backpack. Total reported loss is $1449.90.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 800 block of Queens Lane called police at 9:59 a.m. Nov. 11 to report their mailbox was damaged. Total reported loss is $200.
- A citizen reported at 7:58 p.m. Nov. 16 that they had parked their vehicle in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Waukegan Road at 6 a.m. When they returned at 6:20 p.m., the rear passenger window was broken and there were numerous dents on the side. Total reported damage is $800.
THEFT
- A resident in the 500 block of Lotus Lane called police at 10:21 a.m. Nov. 11 to report a landscaper stole a metal fire pit after mowing the lawn on Nov. 10. Total reported loss is $250.
- A resident in the 3900 block of Glenview Road reported at 7:27 p.m. Nov. 13 a theft of their wallet. Total loss is approximately $267.
- A customer of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 5:25 p.m. Nov. 14 to report being distracted by a female. The customer looked away for a moment, and when they looked back, the female was gone along with their wallet. Credit cards belonging to the customer were later used in the 2200 block of Willow Road. Total loss is approximately $172.
- An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Glenview Road reported at 4:23 p.m. Nov. 16 someone stole their wallet while it was on a desk. Total reported loss $250.01.
STOLEN VEHICLE
- An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 1:49 p.m. Nov. 11 to report two people stole a 2018 black Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk from the parking lot at 4 a.m. Total reported loss is $45,000.
- An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 16 a man stole a customer’s Jeep Grand Cherokee from the parking lot at 4:38 a.m. Nov. 11. Total reported loss $15,000.
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
An Indigo Lane resident called police at 3:27 p.m. Nov. 13 to report receiving a phone call from someone on Nov. 12 who gained access to their computer. The person was able to make several purchases using the resident’s credit card information. Total loss is $1,175.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY
An employee of the Glenview Park District reported at 9:49 p.m. Nov. 14 a hole located on the inside of the men’s restroom door at Crowley Park, 749 Huber Lane, Glenview. Total damage is approximately $500.
THREAT
A Woodland Drive resident reported at 11:40 p.m. Nov. 14 receiving threatening phone calls from a former acquaintance.
BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
- A citizen called police at 6:56 a.m. Nov. 16 to report someone shattered the front driver side window of their vehicle while it was parked in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. A wallet was stolen with a total reported loss of $525.01.
- A citizen reported at 6:56 a.m. Nov. 16 someone shattered the front passenger side window of their vehicle while it was parked in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. A bag with numerous pieces of personal property was stolen with a total reported loss of $550.
- A citizen called police at 6:56 a.m. Nov. 16 to report someone shattered the front driver side window of their vehicle while it was parked in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. A purse was stolen with a total reported loss of $1430.01.
- The owner of a business in the 1800 block of Pickwick Avenue reported at 9:46 p.m. Nov. 16 someone entered three work trucks between during the overnight hours of Nov. 16. There is no reported loss at this time.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
Residents in the 3800 block of Springdale Avenue reported at 6:47 p.m. Nov. 16 someone unknown forced entry through their front door sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 6:37 p.m. Multiple pieces of jewelry were stolen. Total reported loss $40,000.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee of a business in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 6:40 a.m. Nov. 17 to report receiving wanted text messages.
IDENTITY THEFT
Glenview police reported 42 identity thefts related to the ongoing Illinois Department of Employment Security fraud cases.
