3 Months After Crash, Teen Charged With DUI: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
An employee in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported shortly after 4 p.m. on Jan. 15 that someone had placing fraudulent orders over the phone.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive reported at 11:46 p.m. on Jan. 16 that someone had become upset and started "yelling in a threatening manner."
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Fir Street reported on the afternoon of Jan. 16 that someone had sent a letter requesting money and threatened to reveal "confidential information" if no cash was sent. No money was sent.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee at an unspecified business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported shortly before 4 p.m. that someone had entered the store, took about $3 worth of merchandise from a shelf and left without paying for it.
THEFT
A customer in the 3800 block of Willow Road reported at 3:11 p.m. on Jan. 18 that someone had taken a wallet from of a locker. Credit cards from inside the wallet were later used fraudulently to spend $25.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 1:33 p.m. on Jan. 19 that someone had switched tags on an item and left an unspecified store without paying full price for a loss of $62.
THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Warwick Lane reported at 7:10 p.m. on Jan. 19 that someone had taken a package valued at $5 from a front porch.
FAKE ID/UNDERAGE DRINKING
While conducting a bar check at an unspecified business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road shortly before 1 a.m. on Jan. 20, officers ticketed a person under 21 for possessing a fake ID and possessing alcohol.
DISTURBANCE
An employee in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 22 that someone came into the unspecified business and created a disturbance.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A customer in the 2300 block of Capital Drive reported at 6:47 p.m. on Jan. 22 that someone damaged a headlight on their vehicle for a loss of $400.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 10:31 p.m. on Jan. 16 was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving on a suspended license and without insurance.
Daniel Briscoe, 29, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. on Jan. 16 in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with three counts of burglary to a motor vehicle. He was caught on video entering several cars in a parking lot and stealing items from inside and found near the scene on Jan. 15.
Jonathan D. Sosa, 28, of the 9300 block of Landings Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. on Jan. 18 following a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Golf Road and charged with driving under the influence of drugs. He was also ticketed for two counts of disobeying traffic signals, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
Bernard Ocytko, 54, 2144 Rugen Road, Glenview, IL was arrested at 11:47 a.m. on Jan. 20 in the block of his residence and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault. The assault was aggravated because of Ocytko's alleged use of a knife to threaten a women with whom he lived.
Robert Booker, 34, of the 9300 block of National Street, Morton Grove, was arrested at 12:40 pm. on Jan. 20 on an active Glenview warrant connection to a prior charge of driving under the influence.
A 24-year-old Niles man was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on Jan. 20 and charged with driving with a suspended license, without insurance and speeding following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
A 33-year-old Morton Grove man was arested at 8:39 p.m. on Jan. 20 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Robin Rodrian, 19, of the 1100 block of Wedgewood Lane, Mount Prospect, was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on Jan. 21 and charged with aggravated driving under the influence following an investigation into an Oct. 19, 2017 three-car traffic crash occurred in the 700 block of East Lake Avenue that sent all drivers to the hospital. Toxicology reports reportedly indicated Rodrian – who was also charged with possessing between 15 and 100 pills of Xanax – was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
Nicholas Hayman, 35, of the 2200 block of Tanglewood Drive, Glenview, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. on Jan. 21 in following a traffic stop in the 2400 block of East Lake Avenue and charged with several drug offenses: possession of a controlled substance, possession of between 15 and 200 pills of ecstasy and delivery of cannabis. He was also cited for driving an uninsured with expired plates.
