GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. An arrest is not an indication of guilt. IDENTITY THEFT

At 1:15 p.m. on May 9, a resident in the 100 block of Beverly Lane reported someone opened a credit card using their personal identifiers for no reported loss.

At 3:30 p.m. on May 9, an employee in the 2400 block of Sanders Road reported someone attempted to pay for merchandise with a fake $100 bill for no reported loss.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
At 7:43 a.m. on May 11, an employee in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard reported someone damaged the blacktop west for a reported loss of $100.
THEFT
At 10:02 a.m. on May 11, a resident in the 1200 block of Raleigh Road reported they had given $4,000 to an attorney who allegedly represented a friend. Later, they discovered they had been deceived.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
At 12:24 p.m. on May 11, a resident in the 1700 block of Henley Street reported someone scratched their vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of Astellas Way between 10 a.m. and noon that day for a reported loss of $100.
THEFT
At 10:10 p.m. on May 11, a resident in the 700 block of Shermer Road reported that someone stole an iPhone they had been attempting to sell, grabbing it and leaving without paying for a loss of $600.
THEFT
At 2:11 p.m. on May 11, a customer reported they thought someone may have stolen their wallet after they paid for purchases at a business on the 100 block of Waukegan Road for a loss of $75.
THEFT
A customer of the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that on May 2 at 1:30 p.m. they had left personal belongings on a table. When they returned five hours later, the items were missing for a reported loss of $260. The incident was reported on May 12.
THREAT
At 6:46 p.m. on May 12, a resident of the 600 block of 6th Street reported someone threatened to damage their vehicle.
IDENTITY THEFT
At 12:56 p.m. on May 13, a resident in the 2400 block of Covert Road reported someone attempted to use their credit card in Evanston.
THEFT
At 8:05 p.m. on May 13, a resident in the 600 block of 6th Street reported someone stole $2,000 while at the residence.
BATTERY
At 7:39 p.m. on May 13, someone called to report a battery in progress in the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue. When police arrived, they found several people in the parking lot who refused to cooperate with police. No charges were brought.
THEFT
At 11:11 a.m. on May 14, an employee in the 3500 block of 3500 Thornwood Avenue reported someone took a lacrosse net from one of the goals for a reported loss of $250.
THEFT
Shortly before 7 p.m. on May 14, a customer in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported someone took their cell phone, which had been placed on top of a backpack. The reported loss was $500.
ARRESTS:
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Joel Carmickle, 49, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 8:53 a.m. on May 10 and charged with Disorderly Conduct in the 2300 block of Capital Drive.
RETAIL THEFT
Tom Zaroo, 39, of the 8000 block of Keating Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 11 a.m. on May 11 and charged with retail theft after an investigation in the 1700 block of Glenview Road.
DUI - DRUGS
Laura Bailey, 51, of the 1600 block of Sterling Street in Maplewood, Minnesota was arrested at 8:04 p.m. on May 11 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 2100 block of East Lake Avenue.
SPEEDING, 35 MPH OR MORE
Nikolaos Halkias, 22, of the 2300 block of Sumac Circle, was arrested at 12:07 p.m. on May 11 and charged with speeding more than 35 mph above the limit after a traffic stop in the 2800 block of East Lake Avenue.
AGGRAVATED DUI
Claudia Lezon, 28 of the 600 block of Baxter Lane in Hoffman Estates, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. on May 12 and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license and illegal transportation of alcohol after an investigation in the 4600 block of Lilac Avenue.
RETAIL THEFT
Margaret McIlwee Metzler, 55, of the 2200 block of Washington Avenue in Wilmette, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. on May 12 and charged with retail theft at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road, after allegedly taking approximately $600.45 in merchandise and leaving the store without paying.

Nasario Alperto, 59, of the 4600 block of West Altgeld Street in Chicago, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after an investigation in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
SPEEDING, 26-34 OVER LIMIT
On 5/14/17 at 1337 hours, Robert Sabev, 19, of the 3100 block of Sandy Lane, was arrested at 1:37 p.m. on May 14 and charged with speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit after a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Greenwood Road.
