GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. INCIDENTS

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 25 at 11:53 a.m., a resident in the 3100 block of Coral Lane reported a bank representative said their recently mailed credit card had been used fraudulently in Skokie and Chicago for a reported loss of $3,000.

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 25 at 12:57 p.m., a resident in the 1400 block of Tuscany Court reported a bank representative called and said their recently mailed credit card was being used at a store in Chicago, but the transaction was blocked and there is no loss.

BATTERY
On July 25 at 4:12 p.m., an employee in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported being slapped in the face by a co-worker.

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 25 at 4:24 p.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Golfview Road reported someone used their department store account number to make $567 worth of unauthorized purchases in Chicago.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS
On July 25 at 8:13 p.m., a resident in the 2100 block of Grove Street reported seeing four youths in the back yard without authorization.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 25 at 8:27 p.m., an employee in the 2300 block of Waterview Drive reported their car was damaged while it was parked in the parking lot for a reported loss of $200.

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 27 at 1:49 p.m., a resident in the 900 block of Buccaneer Drive reported someone applied for their tax refund and collected a return. The amount of loss was not immediately known.

ASSAULT
On July 27 at 1:51 p.m., a motorist in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported another driver tried to punch him through an open car window after being cut off in traffic.

BATTERY
On July 27 at 3:50 p.m., an employee in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a co-worker bit their arm.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
On July 27 at 3:58 p.m., a resident in the 2500 block of Central Road reported receiving hang up telephone calls.

IDENTITY THEFT
On July 27 at 4:20 p.m., a resident in the 3300 block of Ralmark Lane reported someone used their debit card number to make two transactions for a total reported loss of $1,000.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 28 at 1:47 p.m., an employee in the 2700 block of Aviator Lane reported someone kicked a door at the parking garage, causing $1,200 worth of damage to the door and frame.

THEFT
On July 28 at 3:53 p.m., a resident in the 1200 block of Oakwood Lane reported someone stole packages worth $170 from their house.

BURGLARY
On July 28 at 4:26 p.m., a resident in the 1900 block of Lehigh Avenue reported someone removed a backpack from their vehicle for a reported loss of $1,400.

THEFT
On July 28 at 5:48 p.m., a patron in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone stole a small suitcase containing $900 worth of electronic equipment from their room.

SOLICITOR COMPLAINT
On July 28 at 7:59 p.m., a 22-year-old Schaumburg man was issued a village ordinance violation citation for soliciting without a permit after a complaint in the 800 block of Queens Lane.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 29 at 2:14 a.m., a patron in the 1800 Waukegan Road reported someone scratched the driver’s side of their vehicle while parked in the lot for a reported loss of $1,500.

THEFT
On July 31 at 2:40 p.m., a construction employee working in the 1700 block of Glenview Road reported a hydraulic concrete breaker tool worth $5,000 was taken from the jobsite.

THEFT
On July 31 at 2:48 p.m., a patron in the 2400 Chestnut Avenue reported someone took a credit card from a wallet and the card was later used at a retail store for a reported loss of $200.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT/ATTEMPTED SCAM
On July 31 at 6:23 p.m., a resident in the 2100 block of Robincrest Lane reported receiving telephone calls from a person who stated he was a representative of the Internal Revenue Service demanding back taxes or face jail time.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On July 31 at 7:44 p.m., a patron in the 1625 Milwaukee Avenue reported someone broke the rear window on his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot for a reported loss of $250.

ARRESTS

SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 23-year-old Glenview woman was arrested July 25 at 7:23 p.m. in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and improper lane usage.

DUI
Alexander Hernandez-Montesinos, 21, of the 8200 block of West Dempster Street in Niles, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage after being arrested on July 26 at 3:52 p.m. in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue.

NO VALID LICENSE
A 30-year-old Prospect Heights man was charged with driving with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting – one headlamp after a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard on July 30 at 11:22 p.m.
