Upcoming Capital Improvement Projects
The warmer weather is here! And that means the Village's 2011 Capital Improvements Program will shift into high gear! Projects will take place this spring and summer –most by the Village, some by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Projects include street reconstruction (a complete rebuild from the bottom up—often incorporating new sewer or water pipes), street resurfacing (simply replacing the top layer of the street), and other priorities. Most projects will be underway by mid-May— and are scheduled to wrap up by mid-October. It's that time of year again: grass is growing, weeds are sprouting and dandelions are in abundance. Keep in mind that, under Village Code, weeds and grass may not exceed eight inches in height. Report any problems to (847) 904-4350—but please note that the Village does not prohibit or regulate dandelion growth.
