Many parents of children with ADHD often overlook seeking help or support, both for their children and for themselves. While it may be apparent that their children need support - therapy is a great way to help children with ADHD learn positive behavioral and organizational skills, and express themselves safely - it is also important for parents to remember their needs. This aspect of self-care is vital to ensuring that parents gain perspective on their situation so they can best support themselves and their children. It is also essential for promoting psychological well-being and coping.
If you are a parent of a child with ADHD and are not sure where to go for help, please feel free to contact our Glenview-based office to schedule a time to meet with one of our gifted therapists. We can be reached at (847) 730-3042.
