Motorist Punches Resident In Face, Hits Their Car: Glenview Police Blotter

The resident said the motorist had cut them off before the incident in a parking lot.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. RETAIL THEFT OVER $300

Nolan Bertog, 28, of the 400 block of N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft (over $300), and was arrested in the 2200 block of Willow Road. The arrest followed an investigation at Target. He was released and assigned a court date of April 14.

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

Michael Sarov, 27, of the 1000 block of Bette Lane, Glenview, is accused of possession of cannabis by a driver, disregarding a traffic control light, and was arrested at 9:11 p.m. April 8, in the 1900 block of Glenview Road. He was released and assigned a court date of May 21.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Marc Perilli, 78, of the 400 block of Ascot Drive, Park Ridge, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 6:53 p.m. April 8, in the 3100 block of East Lake Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of May 20.

FLEEING/ELUDING A POLICE DEPARTMENT

Charles Walker, 20, of the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, is accused of fleeing/eluding police, speeding 35+mph over the speed limit, no valid registration, and was arrested at 3:40 p.m. April 8, at the Wilmette Police Department. The charges stemmed from an investigation into an incident on Dec. 22, 2025. He was released and assigned a court date of May 6.

INCIDENTS

AGGRAVATED BATTERY

A resident reported at 2:04 p.m. April 7, being in line at a business when the person in front of them became upset about cutting in front of them. The person in line pushed the resident, causing them to fall.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Crestwood Drive resident reported at 6:16 p.m. April 7, reported someone had used their American Airlines Advantage miles to purchase two Iphones that were shipped to California and two gift cards. Total loss is $3,891.

IDENTITY THEFT

An Elmgate Drive resident reported at 8:24 p.m. April 8, a life insurance policy had been opened in their name through Globe Insurance, listing their spouse as someone they do not know with a Virginia address.

THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 11:54 a.m. April 8, that they had been approached by a female who was selling phones. The employee purchased
an iPhone and Airpods for $780, later discovering that the items were fake and did not work.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY

A resident of the reported at 1:32 p.m. April 9, that while in traffic, another motorist cut them off. The resident parked in a lot in the 1300 block of Patriot
Boulevard, where the other motorist followed them to. The person got out of their vehicle, yelled at the resident, and punched them in the face. The person’s vehicle then struck the complainant's as they fled the scene.
