Driver Punches Senior Riding Bike: Glenview Police Blotter

The driver had sped through a stop sign, knocking the bicyclist down, before the battery.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

Jaime Saucedo, 51, of the 120 N. Alvin, Northlake, is accused of driving while license revoked, speeding 15-20 mph over the speed limit, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:25 a.m. April 25, in the 100 block of Waukegan Road. He was released and assigned a court date of May 19.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTION FRAUD

Mohammad Faisal, 49, of the 4400 block of N. Broadway Street, Chicago, is accused of financial institution fraud, and was arrested at 2 p.m. April 22, at the Glenview police station. He was released and assigned a court date of April 24

INCIDENTS

AGGRAVATED BATTERY OF SENIOR

A resident was riding their bike at 2:29 p.m. April 21, when a vehicle sped through a stop sign at Chestnut Avenue and Monroe Avenue, causing the bike rider to fall off their bike. The rider, a senior, and the driver argued, with the driver punching the rider in the shoulder.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Employees of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 6:39 p.m. April 22, a person was upset about not being able to use a charger and they threatened the employee. The person was issued a Village ordinance citation for disorderly conduct and was issued a trespass warning not to return.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

A resident of the 200 block of Glenview Road reported at 7:03 p.m. April 22, someone had been lingering near the driveway while they were doing yard work and the person kept looking at them. They returned to their vehicle at 2:15 p.m. and noticed their purse missing from the passenger side floorboard.

TRESPASS WARNING

Employees for a business in the 700 block of Waukegan Road called police at 2:22 p.m. April 23, to report a corporate employee was rude to customers and threatened other employees. They had left prior to police arrival.

THEFT

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident of the 3200 block of Crestwood Lane reported at 8:49 pm. April 25, someone had entered the residence by breaking a glass back window and ransacking the house while nobody was home. Total loss was $40,000

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident of the 400 block of 4th Street reported that at some time between 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. April 25, someone had slashed the rear driver's
side tire on their vehicle.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

A shattered glass door was discovered at 3:46 a.m. April 27, at a business in the 2600 block of Shermer Road. The inside of the business had been ransacked. Unknown people were seen on surveillance at 1:01 a.m. arriving near the front door in an unknown silver sedan. Three people wearing all black, face masks, and gloves, took many items and fled the scene in the vehicle.
